Eulogy for Love

Eulogy for Love covers two decades, from 1994 until 2014, set among the English middle classes. Kat is from more humble beginnings, but is bright, likeable, and content in her lesbian identity. Her gap year after finishing school has been spent with a wealthy, academic American couple, travelling to Florence and Boston. Now, she only has to mark time until she can take up her place at university.

Fate will deny Kat such a straightforward future. Eulogy for Love follows her through the years as she encounters a friendship that might have been much more, then a marriage that proves not what she had expected or wanted. Ultimately, destiny will impose on her another challenge, forcing her to rely on those who truly love her; and forcing them into criminality.

Eulogy for Love is part romance, part thriller, and a meditation on love in all its forms. It explores confused and poisonous forms of masculinity, and their effects on women.  For book-lovers who appreciate deeply emotional stories with a touch of mystery, suspense, and moral complexity, it offers a compelling read. It is a testament to the enduring bonds of love, and the lengths to which we will go to protect those we cherish.
